Expert Pelvic Floor Therapy for Lasting Relief

Pelvic floor dysfunction is incredibly common, but it is not something you just have to "live with."

Whether you are navigating postpartum recovery, dealing with chronic pelvic pain, or experiencing leaks when you laugh or sneeze, these issues can deeply impact your quality of life. Our mission is to help you understand your body, address the root cause of your symptoms, and regain your confidence in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Signs You Might Benefit From Pelvic Floor Therapy

Many people wait years to seek help because they feel embarrassed or believe their symptoms are a normal part of aging or childbirth. We can help if you are experiencing:

  • Incontinence: Leaking urine or feces when you cough, sneeze, laugh, or exercise.
  • Urgency: A frequent, sudden, or uncontrollable need to use the restroom.
  • Pelvic Pain: Pain in the pelvic region, lower back, hips, or tailbone.
  • Painful Intimacy: Discomfort or pain before, during, or after intercourse.
  • Prolapse Symptoms: A feeling of heaviness, pressure, or a "falling out" sensation in the pelvic area.
  • Pregnancy & Postpartum Recovery: Diastasis recti (abdominal separation), scar tissue pain (C-section or perineal tearing), and core weakness.

Our Approach to Your Care

We believe in treating the whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Your pelvic floor doesn't work in isolation—it connects to your breathing, your core, your hips, and your nervous system.

We provide individualized, one-on-one care tailored to your specific goals. Treatment may include:

  • Manual therapy to release muscle tension and improve tissue mobility.
  • Targeted strengthening and coordination exercises.
  • Biofeedback to help you connect with and control your pelvic muscles.
  • Education on bladder/bowel habits and daily movement strategies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your first visit is all about listening to your story and understanding your goals. We will review your medical history and discuss your symptoms in detail. From there, we will perform a comprehensive physical evaluation, looking at your posture, breathing, hips, and core. If you are comfortable with it, we may also perform an internal or external pelvic muscle assessment to evaluate strength, tone, and coordination. You are always in control of your session, and we will only proceed with assessments you explicitly consent to.

Not necessarily! This is a very common misconception. While Kegels (tightening the pelvic floor) can help if your muscles are strictly weak, many people actually have pelvic floor muscles that are too tight or overactive. If your muscles are already clenched, doing Kegels is like doing a bicep curl with a muscle that is already cramping—it can actually make your symptoms worse. We will evaluate your muscles to determine exactly what type of exercises you need.

Every body is different, and healing timelines depend on how long you've had symptoms, your medical history, and your consistency with your home program. However, many of our patients start noticing positive changes within 3 to 4 sessions. During your evaluation, your therapist will discuss a realistic timeline and treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
